Located in the heart of Tribeca this rooftop terrace takes full advantage of the borrowed iconic New York views in all directions. RKLA Studio designed the neighboring terrace 10 years ago and were excited to take on this new project and collaborate with a creative client and architect who were pursuing a concurrent full gut renovation of the interior penthouse apartment.

For clients who love to entertain, the goal was to create a unique kitchen and dining area on the east of the terrace, connected to a comfortable lounge area on the west, through a narrow corridor along the penthouse glass walls. The steel pergola over the dining table features integrated lighting and heating. Banquette seating in both the dining and lounge areas is custom. The grill cabinet includes a refrigerator and ice maker. The plant palette includes an evergreen selection of shrubs and vines, flowering trees and perennial grass accents.
