RKLA Studio joined an interdisciplinary team to reimagine this historic building and site in a small upstate NY community. Originally a school, this site will be converted into a community center and arts space.

The team’s approach focused on reconfiguring circulation patterns throughout the site, including a new entry sequence with ADA ramps, a new parking lot, and drop off point. Proposed spaces include an entry garden, flexible terrace spaces for events, a new bandshell for musical performances, a playground, and sculpture garden situated within an evergreen grove.
