Looking south over the rooftops of TriBeCa towards the new One World Trade Center, this small terrace is divided into two rooms - a living room and a dining room - separated by a wall of tall boxwoods. The materials in the custom designed planter boxes, tables and trellises, reference the industrial history of this part of Lower Manhattan. The plant palette has been kept simple and primarily evergreen. RKLA designed the stainless steel grill cabinet with an inset planter for easily accessible herbs.
